Three generations of Mediterranean hospitality

The history of Morlans Hotels began in 1968, when Miguel Mayol and Petra Fiol opened Hotel Morlans in Peguera, Mallorca. From day one, their goal was to offer a warm, family-oriented and personalized service. These values helped build trusting relationships with our guests and foster loyalty among many of them, who, together with their families, continue to choose us year after year.

The company expanded in 1992 with the acquisition of Hotel Villa Font, which was renamed Morlans Garden the following year. During this period, the second generation of the family joined the business: Pedro, Antonio and Antonia Fiol began to take an active role in managing the company.

Following the passing of Miguel Mayol in 1997, the family continued the project guided by the values he had instilled. In 2003, Hotel Platero became part of the Morlans Garden complex, further expanding the group’s offering.

In 2006, after the passing of Petra Fiol, ownership of the company was entrusted to her children: Pedro, Antonio, Antonia and Magdalena Mayol. Since then, Pedro and Antonio have led the hotels, preserving the family spirit and service philosophy that have always defined Morlans Hotels.

In 2011, Hotel Villa Ana also joined the company, reinforcing the group’s growth.

A new chapter began in 2018 with the acquisition of Hotels Promenade I, Promenade II and Panama. These properties were operated by Morlans Hotels, and at the end of 2019 construction began on Morlans Suites, a project designed to offer a modern accommodation concept while maintaining the essence that has always characterized the company.

Although its opening was scheduled for May 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic delayed the launch until July 2021.

In 2022, the group continued its growth with the addition of Hotel Celo Garden, which was completely renovated to create a new Adults Only concept. With this addition, the company expanded its offering to meet evolving tourism trends.

Today, more than 55 years later, Morlans Hotels remains a family-owned company committed to the continuous improvement of its establishments. We work every day to provide the best value for money, renovated facilities, and a warm, attentive service that makes our guests feel at home.
